As the sole UI/UX designer and developer for the State Bank of India's public banking portal, I was responsible for the end-to-end user experience for millions of users. This involved a complete overhaul of the user interface to create a modern, intuitive, and accessible banking platform.
I led the project from initial wireframes and user flow mapping in Figma to the final pixel-perfect frontend implementation using Liferay DXP. My responsibilities included creating a comprehensive design system, ensuring WCAG accessibility compliance, and developing responsive portal themes that worked flawlessly across all devices.
The primary challenge was to simplify complex banking processes for a diverse user base. I conducted user research to inform a cleaner information architecture. The solution was a component-based design system in Liferay that allowed for rapid development and consistent user experience across the entire portal. This modular approach was key to delivering the project single-handedly within the tight timelines.
The successful launch resulted in a significantly improved user experience and earned me the "Standing Ovation Award" from Tech Mahindra for my dedication and the quality of the final product. The platform continues to serve as a critical digital touchpoint for SBI customers.
At Lionbridge, I took the lead on the UI/UX design and frontend development for ARMalytics, a sophisticated enterprise analytics platform for a major UK client. The goal was to transform a data-heavy application into an intuitive and high-performing tool for analysts.
I was responsible for the entire design-to-code workflow. This started with creating detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma, which were then presented to and iterated on with executive stakeholders in the UK. I then translated these designs into a production-ready frontend using React.js, HTML, and CSS, with a focus on performance and scalability.
A key challenge was the platform's performance. I addressed this by optimizing frontend assets and implementing design-led performance improvements, which resulted in a 35% increase in page speed. I also led the migration from Bootstrap 3 to Bootstrap 5, which modernized the entire design language of the platform. To meet aggressive deadlines, I leveraged AI tools like Claude, Copilot, and Cursor, which accelerated my workflow by an estimated 30-40%.
